Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™ are issued only to attorneys
who are recognized as maintaining a "Very High General Ethical Standard"
(the "V" rating) which denotes adherence to professional standards
of conduct and ethics, reliability, diligence and other criteria relevant
to the discharge of professional responsibilities.
Lawyers who meet the "Very High" ethical criteria are then rated
on legal ability based on performance in five key areas, on a scale of
1 to 5 (with 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest). The numeric
ratings range that coincide with the AV Preeminent® Certification
Mark are 4.5 to 5.0.
